Our Process

Step 1: Initial Consultation

We have a meeting via phone or FaceTime to discuss your project, challenges, and requirements.
You send us your wish list, photos of your existing space, color and style preferences, and measurements to create a blueprint, if needed.

Step 2: Design and Development

We create design ideas with sketches using the photos you provide, add paint chips for wall color, fabric swatches for upholstery, and furniture and accessory ideas.
We email or mail you the design boards.
We have a meeting via phone or FaceTime to review design ideas and make revisions where necessary.
After revisions, we provide you with all specifications to execute your plan.

Step 3: Purchasing

Kay Heizman Design gets designer discounts at wholesale showrooms and online catalogue companies such as Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, Williams Sonoma Home, Restoration Hardware, and more. We pass the savings on to you, providing purchasing services to execute the proposed plan. If you will be purchasing anything directly, we will provide detailed specifications, sizes, colors, and more to make sure what you receive is exactly what you want.

Step 4: Installation

Our suppliers will deliver directly to your home. We can work with them to ensure that they do the heavy lifting on installation day. After the items have arrived, we will assist you through FaceTime for accessories placement—including plants, artwork, pillows, tabletop decor, bedding, and lighting—to make sure the final result is perfection.
